Wireless water meters in Arlington

 The town has completed more than 70 percent of the installations needed to move the town to a wireless water meter reading system, according to the Water Department, which said that since April the new meters have been installed at 9,200 locations.

The wireless system will allow the town to streamline meter reading and is expected to save about $95,000 a year in labor costs.
